This site does one thing — Kundli Milan. And it does it by the shastra, in full depth.

How the verdict is built

The common way to match is to count the gunas out of thirty-six and let the number end the conversation. We do not work that way. Our verdict is built by weighing 39 separate voices — the 7th house, the Navamsha, the Saptamsha, the strength of the marriage karaka, Vimsopaka, Jaimini's Upapada and Darakaraka, the dasha timing, Manglik, Marana Karaka Sthana, the Beeja and Kshetra Sphuta, and the rest. Their weights total 29.7, and within that all thirty-six gunas together are one voice — about 3.4% of the whole verdict. Nadi, Bhakoot and Gana do carry their own separate voices, because a zero there is not covered by the count. But those too are one each out of 39. The design is deliberate: if the guna count is not even a twentieth of the verdict, then advising against a marriage over a low count is wrong by arithmetic alone.

Where we differ from the common practice

• The Moon's degree in Vashya. Sagittarius and Capricorn are split signs, so the sign alone will not do. Calculators that skip the degree put roughly half the people born under those two signs in the wrong group.
• Nadi's half-cancellation. On the same nadi, where any of the three classical exemptions applies — one rashi with differing nakshatras, one nakshatra with differing rashis, or one nakshatra with differing padas — we award four out of eight. Many calculators give the full eight, but the shastra calls this weakened, not cancelled.
• The order of groom and bride in Gana. Muhurta Chintamani gives a Deva groom with a Manushya bride the full six and the reverse five — many calculators read the two alike. Deva with Rakshasa at one is the sharpest clash there is, and a Manushya-Rakshasa zero is restored to full wherever one of the three classical exemptions applies.
• Manglik from three reference points. The dosha is read not from the Lagna alone but from the Moon and Venus too — and its full cancellations are counted apart from those that merely reduce it.

What we do not do

• We do not advise against a marriage. Not on a low count, not on any dosha. The report says what each thing is saying; the decision is yours and your family's.
• We do not guarantee the future. The shastra describes tendency, not fate.
• We do not sell remedies. No gemstones, no pujas, no Kumbh Vivah. If a dosha stands it will be written down — and so will whichever cancellation already applies on its own.
• We do not trade in fear. Manufacturing alarm to sell a matching is the oldest sickness in this trade.

How we check our own calculation

Every number written on this site is checked against a real calculation each time — real charts built, real PDFs produced, their pages counted. The tables on the koota pages are generated from the engine's own tables rather than typed by hand, so a page cannot contradict the calculation. And wherever we have caught a mistake in our own calculation — and we have — the fix was written together with a check, so that the same mistake cannot come back. Birthplaces now reach 913 cities across 83 countries and states, each with its own time zone, so a birth abroad lands correctly too.
