You earn, yet the month ends with nothing left; or the loan instalments have started to cost you sleep. Sooner or later the mind asks, why me? Vedic astrology answers with understanding, not fear. A birth chart (a map of the planets at the moment of birth) has houses of wealth and houses of spending and debt. Some planets are karakas (natural signifiers) of money; others signify delay and burden. And dasha and gochar (your personal planetary time-cycle, and the planets' present movement in the sky) show which phase comes when, and when it changes.
Here the Kundli Milan Jyotish team sets all of this out in plain words, along with remedies anyone can do at home. One thing first: no remedy is a guarantee. A remedy done with regularity and faith gives support, and sensible spending is what lets that support hold.
How astrology looks at money
In jyotish, wealth is not one thing. Earning is one matter, saving another, and controlling expense a third, and the chart gives each its own house. So an astrologer asks: by which road does money come, where does it rest, by which road does it leave, and in which period of life?
A chart shows tendencies, not verdicts; effort, decisions and family support count as well. And debt is nothing to be ashamed of. A loan for a home, studies, treatment or a business is an ordinary part of life. In jyotish, debt is discussed in order to manage it, never to frighten anyone.
The three houses of wealth — 2nd, 11th and 9th
The twelve houses (bhavas) of a chart are twelve areas of life. Three of them point directly to wealth.
The 2nd house — savings, speech and family
The 2nd is the dhana bhava, the house of wealth: savings, capital, gold and silver at home, the bank balance. The same house shows vani (speech) and kutumba (the immediate family). The pairing is meaningful. Household money often holds together or scatters according to how the family gets along and how its members speak to each other. When relationships are strained, spending rises on its own.
Benefics (Jupiter, Venus, a strong Moon, a well-placed Mercury) in or aspecting the 2nd point to a saving habit and family support. When the 2nd lord (the planet ruling the sign in this house) is strong, capital builds. When that lord sits in the 6th, 8th or 12th, money is made but keeps slipping out. Read that as a signal to watch spending, not a reason to worry.
The 11th house — income and gains
The 11th is the labha bhava, the house of gains: income, channels of earning, wishes fulfilled, elder siblings and friends. If the 2nd is the reservoir, the 11th is the inflow. The texts say almost any planet in the 11th gives gains in its own way — Saturn slow but lasting income, Mars through land or technical work, Mercury through trade, Jupiter through knowledge and respect.
The 11th is also an upachaya house, a house of growth. The four upachaya houses — 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th — give more with age and effort.
The 9th house — fortune
The 9th is the bhagya bhava: luck, dharma, the father, the teacher and merit. For money it shows how far "the right door opening at the right time" supports your effort. Among the trikonas (the 1st, 5th and 9th, the most auspicious houses), the 9th is held highest, so it plays a large part in dhana yogas.
Three more houses form the foundation: the 1st (lagna, the ascendant — you, your strength), the 5th (judgement, sound decisions) and the 10th (karma — job and business). The 10th is the source of income and the 11th its fruit; the 11th is the 2nd counted from the 10th, the wealth of your work.
The three houses of debt and expense — 6th, 8th and 12th
The 6th, 8th and 12th are called trik or dusthana houses. The name need not alarm you. Every chart has them, and almost every chart has a planet in one of them. They are the areas of struggle, expense and change — and of the way through.
The 6th house — debt, and the strength to fight it
The 6th is the rina bhava, the house of debt. It also shows illness, opponents, litigation, competition and service (employment). Each is a kind of contest, and the 6th is also the strength to fight it. That is why it is an upachaya house: its results improve with time and effort.
The texts give a plain rule: natural malefics (Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu, the Sun) do well in the 3rd, 6th and 11th. With Mars or Saturn in the 6th, a person is considered able to struggle through debt and opposition and come out. So "a planet in the 6th means endless debt" is only half a thought.
If the 6th lord connects with the lagna, 2nd or 11th, borrowing and lending may keep returning in life. Such people often do well in banking, finance, law, medicine or service. What is needed is a clear repayment plan before any loan.
The 8th house — sudden change and stuck money
The 8th is the house of longevity, sudden events and hidden matters. For money, it is what does not come from direct earning — insurance, inheritance, wealth from the spouse's family, stuck money. Sudden expense is read here too. The 8th is the 7th from the 2nd, directly opposite your savings, so in periods when it is active, a separate reserve and tools such as insurance are wise.
The 12th house — expense
The 12th is the vyaya bhava: spending, foreign lands, hospitals, charity and moksha (liberation). Charity and pilgrimage belong here too, so not every expense is a loss. The 12th comes right after the 11th — expense follows income — and the balance of the two is the household budget. When the 2nd lord is in the 12th or the 12th lord in the 2nd, a large share of earnings tends to go into spending. The remedy is practical: direct spending thoughtfully towards good purposes.
| House | Main themes | The way to manage it |
|---|---|---|
| 6th | Debt, competition, employment | Upachaya — improves with effort and planning |
| 8th | Sudden change, insurance, inheritance | A separate reserve, patience |
| 12th | Expense, foreign lands, charity | Turning expense towards good purposes |
Viparita raja yoga — rising out of difficulty
A lovely idea in the texts: when the lord of a difficult house sits in another difficult house, it cuts through the difficulty itself. This is viparita raja yoga. The 6th lord in the 6th, 8th or 12th gives Harsha yoga; the 8th lord there gives Sarala yoga; the 12th lord there gives Vimala yoga. Phaladeepika describes the person with Vimala yoga as one who spends little and saves well.
The planets behind wealth and debt
If the houses are the stage, the planets are the actors. Each signifies some side of money, and whichever is weak in your chart is usually the one whose remedy helps first.
Jupiter (Guru) — the chief signifier of wealth
The texts name Jupiter the karaka of wealth, especially wealth that comes rightly and stays. Jupiter is discernment — when to spend, whom to trust. A strong Jupiter brings sound counsel from elders. A weak Jupiter — debilitated, hemmed in by malefics or in a trik house — is linked with putting money behind poor advice. Its remedies belong to Thursday.
Venus (Shukra) — comfort and prosperity
Venus signifies comfort, the arts, vehicles and the ease of home. Lakshmi worship is linked with Venus, and Friday is held to be Lakshmi's day. But Venus also has a spending side — on luxuries and appearances. Venus in the 12th gives enjoyment of comforts, and with it a habit of spending. The balance of Venus is comfort with a limit.
Mercury (Budh) — trade and accounts
Mercury signifies trade, bookkeeping, contracts and conversation. For business people it matters most — a feel for a deal and clean accounts. Mercury always stays near the Sun, so being combust (losing strength by being too close to the Sun) is very common; that alone is no cause for alarm. The most direct remedy for a weak Mercury is to keep written accounts, with Ganesha worship on Wednesdays.
The Moon (Chandra) — the mind
The Moon signifies the mind, and much of money is a game of the mind — selling in fear, buying in excitement, losing sleep in worry. A strong Moon gives calm decisions. When Saturn, Rahu or Ketu touch the Moon, money worries can run higher than the situation deserves. Sade sati and Jupiter's transit are both counted from the Moon sign.
Saturn (Shani) — hard work, delay and the weight of debt
Saturn signifies hard work, discipline, delay and responsibility. The weight of a loan, a long chain of instalments, "much effort, slow fruit" — this is Saturn's territory. Yet what Saturn gives, lasts. For Taurus and Libra lagna, Saturn is a yogakaraka (lord of a kendra and a trikona at once), and its dasha often brings steady progress after effort. Whoever keeps paying instalments honestly through Saturn's hard phase, and takes on no new burden, usually comes out of it lighter.
Mars (Mangal) — courage and release from debt
Mars signifies courage, energy, land, buildings and brothers. Tradition ties Mars closely to debt: in the Rin-mochak Mangal Stotra, the names of Mars include "Rinaharta" (remover of debt) and "Dhanaprada" (giver of wealth). A weak Mars can mean chances missed for lack of nerve; an overheated Mars, borrowing in haste. A loan for land or a house is tied to Mars and the 4th house.
Rahu and Ketu — sudden ups and downs
Rahu signifies illusion, greed, unfamiliar paths and sudden change. A Rahu period can bring a sudden opportunity and a sudden expense alike, so staying away from "get rich quick" schemes and speculation is the biggest remedy. Ketu signifies detachment — losing interest in money, or leaving work half done. Their effect is read from the whole chart.
The Sun (Surya) — position and government
The Sun signifies the father, confidence, position and government. It plays a part in government jobs and income from rank. A weak Sun is linked with hesitation in putting one's case forward.
| Planet | Role in money | Exalted | Debilitated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jupiter | Chief karaka of wealth, discernment | Cancer | Capricorn |
| Venus | Comfort, prosperity | Pisces | Virgo |
| Mercury | Trade, accounts | Virgo | Pisces |
| Moon | The mind, calm decisions | Taurus | Scorpio |
| Sun | Position, government | Aries | Libra |
| Mars | Courage, land, release from debt | Capricorn | Cancer |
| Saturn | Hard work, delay, weight of debt | Libra | Aries |
Dhana yogas in simple words
A yoga is a special combination of planets. Dhana yogas are those in which the lords of wealth houses connect — by sitting together (conjunction), looking at each other (aspect), or sitting in each other's signs (exchange, parivartana). The rule of aspect: every planet aspects the 7th house from itself; Mars also the 4th and 8th, Jupiter the 5th and 9th, Saturn the 3rd and 10th.
When the 2nd and 11th lords connect
The most direct dhana yoga: the lord of savings and the lord of income join — the 2nd lord in the 11th and the 11th lord in the 2nd, or both together in a good house. Simply put, of what comes in, some part stays.
Trikona lords and the wealth houses
The Parashara tradition (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra) treats the mutual links between the lords of the lagna, 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th as the basis of dhana yogas. You (lagna), your judgement (5th), fortune (9th), income (11th) and savings (2nd): the more they are linked, the wider the road for wealth. When the 9th and 10th lords connect, it is Dharma-Karmadhipati yoga — fortune and effort moving together, so that both rise and income grow.
Lakshmi yoga
The name says it is linked with prosperity. Several texts give the condition like this: the lagna lord is strong, and the 9th lord sits in its own or exaltation sign in a kendra (the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house) or a trikona. Texts differ slightly, and some add a role for Venus. The core idea is the same — when you yourself are strong and the lord of fortune is strong in a good house, comforts gather. This yoga is not common, and its absence carries no bad meaning.
When a yoga gives results
A yoga gives full results in the dasha or antardasha of its planets. If that dasha comes late, so do the results. If the planets forming it are debilitated, combust or afflicted, the result stays light. This is where remedies come in: a weak planet is supported through mantra and worship.
Pointers towards debt — attention, not fear
Some positions are called "worth watching". Each comes with its own way of managing it:
- The 6th lord in the lagna, 2nd or 11th — borrowing may recur; managed by making the repayment plan first.
- The 2nd lord in the 12th, or the 12th lord in the 2nd — spending presses on savings; managed by a monthly budget.
- Saturn or Rahu in the 2nd without benefic aspect — savings build slowly; managed by small, regular saving.
- The 11th lord in a trik house — income goes up and down; managed by more than one source of income.
- Jupiter debilitated or afflicted — lapses in judgement; managed by Thursday remedies and trustworthy advice.
These are tendencies, not verdicts. And debilitation is sometimes cancelled — neecha bhanga — for instance when the lord of the sign of debilitation sits in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon.
Why money moves in phases — dasha and transit
"Five years ago all was well; now money won't stay." The chart is the same and the planets sit where they did; what changed is time. Astrology reads time in two ways — dasha (the personal time-cycle from your birth chart) and gochar (the planets' present movement in the sky).
Vimshottari dasha
Vimshottari dasha is a 120-year cycle: Ketu 7 years, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19 and Mercury 17. The nakshatra of the Moon at birth decides which dasha the cycle starts from, and within each mahadasha run antardashas (sub-periods). For money, the broad rule:
- Dasha of the 2nd, 9th or 11th lord — a chance for income and savings.
- Dasha of the lagna or 10th lord — growth in work and position.
- Dasha of the 6th lord — employment, competition, sometimes a loan; but also the strength to fight and win.
- Dasha of the 8th lord — sudden change, insurance or stuck money.
- Dasha of the 12th lord — expense, travel, moving house; planning is essential.
A planet often rules two houses. For Aries lagna, Mercury rules the 3rd and 6th; for Leo lagna it rules the 2nd and 11th, both wealth houses. That is why one planet's dasha gives two people different results.
Saturn's sade sati
Saturn stays about two and a half years in a sign. When it passes the 12th sign from your natal Moon sign, then the Moon sign itself, then the 2nd sign, the three phases make about seven and a half years — sade sati. The first phase often raises expense and running about, the middle one brings responsibility on the mind, and the last asks for attention to money and family.
The fear spread about sade sati is not right. Many people have built homes and established work during it, because Saturn rewards effort. Its effect depends on which houses Saturn rules in your chart, how strong it is, and whose dasha is running.
Saturn's dhaiya, and Saturn's transit today
Saturn's roughly two and a half years in the 4th or 8th sign from the Moon sign is called dhaiya. The 4th asks for attention to home and peace of mind, the 8th to sudden expense and health.
Working out your own position is simple. Sade sati runs for three Moon signs: the sign Saturn is in, the sign just before it and the sign just after it (the last phase for the sign before, the middle phase for Saturn's own sign, the first phase for the sign after). For example, when Saturn is in Pisces, people with the Moon in Aquarius, Pisces or Aries are in sade sati, and those with the Moon in Sagittarius (Saturn 4th) or Leo (Saturn 8th) are in dhaiya. But not every Saturn transit is hard: Saturn in the 3rd, 6th or 11th from the Moon sign is considered favourable; with Saturn in Pisces, that applies to Capricorn, Libra and Taurus Moon signs. Which sign Saturn is in today, and whether your Moon sign is under sade sati or dhaiya, is shown automatically every day in the monthly part of each sign on our horoscope page. A favourable Saturn is a sensible time for a firm plan to clear old debts.
Jupiter and Rahu in transit
Jupiter stays about a year in a sign. By the texts, Jupiter in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th or 11th from the Moon sign is favourable — the 2nd for wealth and family, the 11th for income. When a hard Saturn transit runs alongside a good Jupiter transit, the difficulty becomes much lighter; astrologers call this the support of Jupiter.
Rahu and Ketu stay about a year and a half in a sign. When Rahu is over the Moon sign, or in the 2nd or 8th from it, pause before putting money anywhere in a hurry on someone's word.
Dasha and transit together
Dasha tells you which theme is open in life now; transit tells you the weather outside. A good dasha under a hard transit gets work done with more effort; a hard dasha under a good transit brings support. That is why money comes in waves — a phase of growth, a phase of consolidation.
Debt, without fear — the astrological view
The worry about a debt often grows larger than the debt. Astrology eases it with three points:
- The house of debt is a house that improves. The 6th is upachaya — effort and planning make its results better.
- A debt phase has a fixed length. The 6th lord's dasha, a hard Saturn transit, a Rahu period — each has a duration.
- The strength to get out is in the same chart. Mars or Saturn in the 6th, viparita raja yoga, a good Jupiter transit — all are ways out.
In tradition, rina (debt) is not only about money. The texts speak of three debts — deva rina (to the gods), rishi rina (to knowledge and teachers) and pitri rina (to the ancestors) — repaid through worship, study and shraddha-tarpan. Everyone owes someone. See money debt the same way: with responsibility, not shame. Folk tradition holds Tuesday a good day to pay an instalment; but the bank's due date comes first.
Remedies — simple, harmless and from jyotish
All of these can be done comfortably at home — no costly materials, no risk. The rule for japa (mantra repetition): 108 times a day (one mala), for at least 43 days without a break. Fast only if your health allows. Choose one or two remedies and keep them regularly; one remedy done wholeheartedly beats ten done half-heartedly.
Lakshmi worship on Friday, with the Mahalakshmi mantra
On Friday, after bathing, clean the place of worship. Light a ghee lamp before Lakshmi, offer red or pink flowers, and offer kheer or mishri (rock sugar). Then chant the Mahalakshmi mantra:
'Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseeda Praseeda Shreem Hreem Shreem Om Mahalakshmyai Namah'
If it feels long, the short mantra is equally valid:
'Om Shreem Mahalakshmyai Namah'
Tradition says Lakshmi is pleased by cleanliness and order. So a clean home, money and papers kept in order, and respect among family members are all part of the same worship.
Shri Sukta path
The Shri Sukta is an ancient Vedic hymn to Lakshmi, found in the appendix (khila) portion of the Rigveda. It is recited on Fridays, or daily after Lakshmi puja. The Kanakadhara Stotra, attributed to Adi Shankaracharya, is another well-known hymn of the Lakshmi tradition.
The Kuber mantra
Tradition holds Kubera to be the treasurer of the gods and guardian of the north. Lakshmi gives wealth; Kubera keeps it — which is why the two are worshipped together on Dhanteras and Diwali. The Kuber mantra:
'Om Yakshaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaya Dhanadhanyadhipataye Dhanadhanyasamriddhim Me Dehi Dapaya Swaha'
It is chanted facing north, after Lakshmi puja. Its sense: O lord of wealth and grain, grant me abundance.
Rin-mochak Mangal Stotra on Tuesdays
This is the best-known recitation for worry about debt. On Tuesday, after bathing, light a lamp before Mangal Dev or Hanuman and recite the Rin-mochak Mangal Stotra. With it, the beej mantra of Mars:
'Om Kraam Kreem Kraum Sah Bhaumaya Namah'
On Tuesdays, red lentils (masoor) or jaggery are donated within one's means. The remedy has an inner meaning too: Mars is courage. The courage to talk openly with the bank and to decide to cut spending is the true worship of Mars.
Rinharta Ganesh Stotra
Ganesha removes obstacles, and the Rinharta Ganesh Stotra is a prayer for relief from the weight of debt. It is recited on Wednesdays or on chaturthi (the fourth lunar day), after offering durva grass to Ganesha. With it:
'Om Gam Ganapataye Namah'
Mercury signifies trade, so for money stuck in business or tangled accounts, Wednesday worship of Ganesha is especially done.
Thursday — remedies for Jupiter
Jupiter is the chief karaka of wealth, so Thursday remedies are the most basic:
- Worship Lord Vishnu after the morning bath.
- Wear yellow, or a tilak of turmeric or sandal — in tradition, Jupiter's colour is yellow.
- Donate chana dal, turmeric or religious books, within your means.
- Respect teachers, mentors and the elders at home — Jupiter's most direct remedy.
- If health allows, keep the Thursday fast; if you wish, recite the Vishnu Sahasranama.
Jupiter's beej mantra and the Vishnu mantra:
'Om Graam Greem Graum Sah Gurave Namah'
'Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya'
Saturday — Shani daan, within your means
Saturn signifies the weight of debt and delay. Saturday remedies are the tradition for carrying that weight patiently:
- Black sesame, mustard oil, urad dal or a blanket to someone in need — within your means. Do not borrow or upset the household budget to donate; Saturn is the planet of honesty, not display.
- Help labourers, sanitation workers and the elderly — tradition holds this to be the service Saturn loves.
- The custom of lighting a mustard-oil lamp under a peepal tree on Saturday evening.
- Honesty and punctuality in your work — Saturn's inner remedy.
Saturn's beej mantra:
'Om Praam Preem Praum Sah Shanaischaraya Namah'
During sade sati or dhaiya these can be kept up through the whole period — in the spirit of support, not fear.
Hanuman Chalisa
Tradition holds that Saturn does not trouble Hanuman's devotees — a well-known belief from the Puranas and folk stories. Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays and Saturdays is done for difficulties of both Mars and Saturn. With it:
'Om Ham Hanumate Namah'
Beej mantras for the weak planet
The planet that rules a wealth house in your chart but is weak, or whose dasha is running while it is afflicted — begin its beej mantra on its own weekday.
| Planet | Day | Worship | Donation (within means) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sun | Sunday | Water (arghya) to the Sun | Wheat, jaggery |
| Moon | Monday | Shiva puja | Rice, milk |
| Mars | Tuesday | Hanuman | Red lentils, jaggery |
| Mercury | Wednesday | Ganesha | Green moong |
| Jupiter | Thursday | Vishnu puja | Chana dal, turmeric |
| Venus | Friday | Lakshmi puja | Rice, rock sugar |
| Saturn | Saturday | Hanuman | Black sesame, mustard oil |
| Rahu | Saturday (tradition) | Durga worship | Urad, blanket |
| Ketu | Tuesday (tradition) | Ganesha | Sesame, blanket |
Rahu and Ketu have no weekday of their own; these days come from tradition. The mantras of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are given above; the rest:
Sun
'Om Hraam Hreem Hraum Sah Suryaya Namah'
Moon
'Om Shraam Shreem Shraum Sah Chandramase Namah'
Mercury
'Om Braam Breem Braum Sah Budhaya Namah'
Venus
'Om Draam Dreem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah'
Rahu
'Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhraum Sah Rahave Namah'
Ketu
'Om Sraam Sreem Sraum Sah Ketave Namah'
A caution about gemstones
Advice to wear yellow sapphire or diamond for wealth is common. If you want to wear a gemstone, do so only after showing your full chart to a knowledgeable astrologer; the gemstone of a planet that needs calming can have the opposite effect. Mantra, donation and worship are safe for every planet — begin with them.
How to choose remedies from your own chart
The right remedy is the one that supports the weak part of your chart. Five steps:
- Know your lagna. In a chart made from date, time and place of birth, the sign in the first house is the ascendant.
- Find the lords of the wealth and debt houses. See the table below.
- Check their condition. Debilitated? Combust? In a trik house? With Saturn, Rahu or Ketu? Such a planet is asking for support.
- Check the current dasha. Whose mahadasha and antardasha run, and which houses does that planet rule for you?
- Check Saturn's and Jupiter's transit from the Moon sign. Sade sati or dhaiya? Jupiter in a good position?
| Lagna | Lord of 2nd | Lord of 11th | Lord of 9th | Lord of 6th |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aries | Venus | Saturn | Jupiter | Mercury |
| Taurus | Mercury | Jupiter | Saturn | Venus |
| Gemini | Moon | Mars | Saturn | Mars |
| Cancer | Sun | Venus | Jupiter | Jupiter |
| Leo | Mercury | Mercury | Mars | Saturn |
| Virgo | Venus | Moon | Venus | Saturn |
| Libra | Mars | Sun | Mercury | Jupiter |
| Scorpio | Jupiter | Mercury | Moon | Mars |
| Sagittarius | Saturn | Venus | Sun | Venus |
| Capricorn | Saturn | Mars | Mercury | Mercury |
| Aquarius | Jupiter | Jupiter | Venus | Moon |
| Pisces | Mars | Saturn | Mars | Sun |
Then the rule is simple. A weak wealth-house lord or dasha lord — its beej mantra and weekday worship. A hard Saturn transit — Saturday donation and the Hanuman Chalisa. Pressing debt — the Rin-mochak Mangal Stotra on Tuesdays, or the Rinharta Ganesh Stotra. And in every case, Friday Lakshmi puja as a common base.
An example
Take Taurus lagna. The wealth house is Gemini (Mercury), gains Pisces (Jupiter), fortune Capricorn (Saturn) and debt Libra (Venus). Suppose Jupiter sits in Capricorn — the 9th house, but its sign of debilitation. The lord of gains is weak. For Taurus, Jupiter also rules the 8th, so its dasha brings sudden changes too.
First one checks for neecha bhanga — for instance, Saturn, lord of Capricorn, in a kendra from the lagna or Moon. Then the main remedy is Thursday's: Jupiter's beej mantra, Vishnu worship, a donation of chana dal and respect for elders, with Friday Lakshmi puja. Since Saturn is a yogakaraka for Taurus, Saturday service is done as support. One or two right remedies, kept fully — that is choosing from the chart.
Sense alongside remedies — spending, saving and a plan
Remedies steady the mind and support a troubled planet. But an instalment is paid with money, not a mantra. So every remedy needs sensible spending beside it — astrology's own teaching: Jupiter is discernment, Saturn discipline, Mercury accounts.
- Write it down. Income, essential expenses and instalments in one place — Mercury's most practical remedy.
- Costliest debt first. Clear the highest-interest debt, such as a credit card, first.
- No new burden in a hard phase. In sade sati, the 8th dhaiya or a Rahu period, think twice before a big new loan.
- Small, regular saving. A little every month — Saturn is pleased by regularity.
- Stay away from quick money. Speculation, or any promise to double your money — Rahu's illusion at its most common.
- Take advice. Talking to a trustworthy financial adviser or your bank about instalments is good sense.
No genuine remedy promises money overnight; be careful of anyone who does. Remedies done with regularity and faith lighten the mind and clear decisions. Money stays when remedies and good sense walk together.
Household money and relationships — why both charts are read
Money is usually discussed from one chart, but a household's money is not one person's. Husband and wife, parents, sons and daughters — their earning, spending and decisions together make the budget. In astrology too, the 2nd house is family as well as wealth, and the 4th is peace at home. When money causes tension at home, behind it there is often the present period of the people in the house and the harmony between them.
Say one member is in sade sati and another in Rahu's dasha. One is pressed by responsibility, the other restless for a quick answer, and every money conversation becomes an argument. Blaming one person is neither fair nor astrological. Both periods run side by side, and the remedies are for both.
The Kundli Milan Jyotish team builds two milans with exactly this view:
- Husband–Wife (Pati-Patni) Kundli Milan — for a married couple. It reads both people's nature-match (kootas), Mars, the 7th house, the marriage karakas Venus and Jupiter, the Moon (mind), speech, and the current dasha and Saturn transit — then gives remedies and a weekly order. If money causes friction, the report shows what the clash rises from and when each person's hard phase changes.
- Griha Shanti Kundli Milan — for any two members of a household. It reads their nature-match, the Moon, the 4th house (peace at home), speech, pitru dosha (as per tradition), kaal sarp yoga (a later tradition, not in the ancient texts), and the current dasha and Saturn transit — with a remedy for each yoga.
In all honesty — our report does not predict wealth; it does not say how much money will come or when. It reads both charts for household relationships, the mind, the present period and their remedies. But when money does not stay in a home, the present period of the people in it and their harmony usually move with it — and the Griha Shanti milan reads both members' dasha, Saturn transit and house of the home to give remedies.
After payment, the full result opens on the site right away. The full report is a PDF — both people's own charts, the complete method of each remedy, a weekly order, and "Your questions — straight answers".
Frequently asked questions
Which houses show wealth and debt in a birth chart?
Savings are read from the 2nd house, income from the 11th and fortune from the 9th. Debt is read from the 6th; the 8th shows sudden expense and the 12th spending. Among planets, Saturn signifies the weight of debt and delay, and Mars is linked with release from debt. The 6th is an upachaya house that improves with effort, so a debt yoga is about managing, not fearing.
Does money always stop during sade sati?
No. Sade sati is a period of discipline and responsibility, and many people build homes and establish their work during it. The effect depends on which houses Saturn rules in your chart, how strong it is, and whose dasha is running. Saturday donation within your means, Saturn's beej mantra and the Hanuman Chalisa give support through this phase.
What is the best-known remedy for debt relief?
Reciting the Rin-mochak Mangal Stotra on Tuesdays, with the beej mantra of Mars. The Rinharta Ganesh Stotra is recited on Wednesdays or on chaturthi. If Saturn is pressing, Saturday donation within your means. These remedies are support, not a guarantee — a spending plan and regular instalments are just as necessary beside them.
On which day and how should Lakshmi puja be done?
On Friday after bathing, with a ghee lamp, red or pink flowers and an offering of kheer or rock sugar. Then one mala — 108 repetitions — of the Mahalakshmi mantra given above (long or short), for at least 43 days without a break. The Shri Sukta may also be recited. A clean, orderly home is considered part of the same worship.
Does your report tell me when money will come?
No. Our report does not predict wealth. The Husband–Wife or Griha Shanti milan reads both members' charts for nature-match, the Moon, the house of the home, speech, the current dasha and Saturn transit, and gives remedies. Tension over money at home usually travels with these very things, so the milan helps steady the household's atmosphere.
What if the birth time is not known?
